What are your resolutions for 2007?
I'm not real big on resolutions, but here's a list of what I would like to accomplish in 2007:
1. Keep trying for a new job. I like the job I am in now, but it is time to move on and start using that degree I'm working on.
2. Take at least 8 more classes. I'm a senior at Oregon State University working on a Natural Resource degree via their on-line distance program. Expected graduation date is sometime in 2008. This quarter I'm in 2 classes, climatology and natural resource decision making.
3. Decide to frog or finish the Peace Shawl. I'm a quite a bit further then that picture but still have a ways to go. This project is driving me crazy because every row is different and it takes all my concentration to keep from messing up. A lace shawl with a nice repeating pattern is sounds very good.
4. Finish quilt, hopefully in the next few months.
5. Visit Alaska!
6. Swim 3 times a week, 4 would be even better. Also swim in a meet this winter.
I think that is good for the year. There are a million other things I would like to get done this year, but I am very good at trying to do too much, so we'll stick with 6 for this list. Happy New Year everyone!
What were you afraid of as a child that seems silly to you now?
Submitted by navelgazer.
As a child I was terrified of running over the vacuum cleaner cord. My older brother told me that if I did I would be electrocuted. It took me a few years to figure out that if it was really true I would have seen stories on the news about hundreds of tragic vacuuming accidents.
What albums are in heavy rotation for you right now?
Currently in heavy rotation for me is Death Cab for Cuties new CD Plans. I like almost all the songs on the CD and am especially fond of Soul Meets Body. If the stinkin Post Office hadn’t lost the new Ani DiFranco CD that I ordered that would also be in heavy rotation. Luckily the nice people at the Righteous Babe store are nice enough to be sending a new copy to my work address. (This is the THIRD package that my post office has lost in less than a year!!! Does anyone else have this problem???? arrrgggg)
