I just returned home from my high school reunion in Tucson AZ. The group that was hired to plan the reunion did a pretty shoddy job for what we paid, but I did have a good time seeing everyone. About a fifth of our graduating class showed up, I have no idea how good or bad that is for a reunion but I think most of the people I wanted to see were there. Friday night was drinks and ‘light appetizers’ at a local steak house. The drinks were not part of the cost and the light appetizers consisted of tortilla chips. The next night was a dinner at La Paloma, a local resort. The dinner was typical wedding fare, but not bad. There was a DJ and dance floor, but everyone ended up in the hotel bar instead. The cost for all of this, oh, about $140. Yea. Well as I said it was nice to see everyone. I wish my husband could have been there but summer is busy time for him. I would rather he takes time off for a trip to Alaska instead….
